As a child, I was an overachiever, a perfectionist and a devoted dancer. By my second year in college, I was diagnosed with a crippling anxiety disorder where I developed tremors and would fall asleep anywhere at anytime. I drank way too much, smoked weed and cigarettes, took sleeping pills to fall asleep, drank coffee to stay awake, ate pizza and fast food at 3:00 AM, was put on anti-anxiety and anti- depressant medication, and was diagnosed with ADD and prescribed Adderrall. All my relationships were unhealthy; I was married and divorced by the age 25, and my overall health was completely failing. I didn’t know how to live.

All of my coping mechanisms to deal with stress were unhealthy. I had discovered yoga, Pilates, Ayurveda, and all these amazing healing modalities, finally something to nourish my body, mind and soul, but my father was not supportive of this path.

To make a very long story short, I chose to follow my heart and I moved to California and began my long journey to
get my mind, body, and soul back on track. I finished my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with an emphasis in health and stress psychology, at California State University, Long Beach, received certifications in yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonic, and massage therapy, and extensively studied nutrition and much more! I did a 180 in my life, and went from living with a crippling anxiety disorder, to being a thriving and energetic confident woman. Through my wide-ranging studies, I discovered extremely practical tools that, if applied to anyone’s life, can bring a significant change to their state of well-being.

I took the philosophy of Ayurveda, the science of life and balance and revamped it for the modern day busy woman, who doesn’t have several hours a day to devote to self-care. I developed a simple program, that is easy for anyone to incorporate in their lives, which is more about tweaking certain habits rather than adding more, and making it seem like a burden. This book is an accumulation of fifteen years of research and trial and error. Although some of these concepts are common sense, they are not so commonly followed in today’s society. I want everyone to have these tools, so those of you who are struggling as I was with anxiety can make significant changes in your life. I know it is possible, because I have gone through this process myself, and I can tell you from experience . . . it works!

It has been a dream of mine to have a home base where I can incorporate everything I have learned. I imagined creating a yoga studio with a home-like environment- with lots of nurturing and love- where people could learn many different aspects of wellness- including physical alignment, proper nourishment, cleansing techniques, healthy stress coping mechanisms, and how to stay peaceful and healthy in a modern day world.

I also call myself a Stress Free Success Coach and have a passion in help others lose weight naturally and find more balance and energy in their lives! I combine the most productive and useful techniques from all the different modalities I have learned.
