Encouraged by last year’s incredible reception, the 2nd Annual SoCal VegFest was TWO DAYS this year! Rain or shine, it was an event to behold and we had a record number of attendees. Vegan or not, people of all ages gathered to learn, explore, share, and dance!

Bryan Pease is the co-founder of the Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL), which is based in San Diego and has a very active chapter here in Orange County. He is a compassionate sponsor of #SoCalVegFest and will be speaking 10/30 from 3:30pm – 3:40pm on our Main Stage about the background of APRL and its activities in Southern California.

Krimsey’s is a Cajun vegan food company that is also soy-free and nut-free! They cater, vend as a pop-up food booth, sell cooking products online, and will soon have a restaurant open in North Hollywood. They are an exhibitor at this year’s SoCal VegFest!

Miyoko’s Kitchen creates the most delectable whole-foods, plant-based cheeses in the world! She will have an exhibitor booth where you can sample a range of her incredible #vegan cheeses at this year’s #SoCalVegFest so be sure to check it out!

Cool Foods is committed to bringing our community a greater choice of plant based foods with the idea that these foods are better for us and the planet. They currently have two products available to the public– Cool Cups and Vegi Bacon/ Veggie Bacon Bits & Dips. Vegi Bacon/ Veggie Bacon is soy free and is made from air- dried, nutrient- rich pinto beans. They will be an exhibitor at SoCal VegFest so be sure to stop by and say hello!

Gina Bonanno-Lemos is the award-winning author of What The Fork? The Secret Cause Of Disease, and a dual-certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Vegan Nutrition Specialist. She will be speaking 11/30 from 12:30pm – 12:45pm on our Main Stage on “You’re Not a Victim of Your Genetics: Changing Your DNA and Preventing Disease With Food”.

Lisa Bloom is a legal analyst for NBC News, appearing frequently on the Today Show, Nightly News, CNN, HLN and many other television and radio shows. She also runs a prominent Los Angeles based general practice law firm, The Bloom Firm, representing celebrity clients and ordinary people seeking justice in all areas of civil litigation and family law, and especially victims of domestic violence, sexual harassment, race or sex discrimination, sexual assault, and police excessive force. She will be speaking at SoCal VegFest on ‘Why animal cruelty is an urgent social justice issue’.

Humanity for Animals is a vegan grassroots non-profit that advocates for animals all over the world at the local level. They will be exhibiting at SoCal VegFest and offering handcrafted custom jewelry with a vegan message for a small donation.

VEGGOS is a RAW VEGAN DELI, established in May of 2013 in Lake Forest, CA. Our mission is to provide an affordable, more nutritious, and delicious alternative to conventional fast food, beverages and desserts. Our appetizers, soups and salads, entrees, desserts, green juices and shakes are gluten free, dairy free and surgar free. Ingredients used in our food and drinks preparation are all natural and plant based. No preservatives are used. Appetizer and enntree favorites are the Nachos Supreme, V’Gos Cheeseburger, the Laguna Pizza, Heavenly Hummus Sandwich and Veggie Lo Mein. Ellie Laks is the Founder of The Gentle Barn Foundation, a national organization that rescues and rehabilitates unwanted animals, and heals people with the same stories of abuse and neglect. She is a celebrated animal welfare advocate, humane educator, and the author of “My Gentle Barn: Creating a sanctuary where animals heal and children learn to hope”. She will be joining at the Gentle Barn exhibitor booth as well as on stages a speaker, as well.
