2026 FOOD DAY FESTIVAL – EVENTBRITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to all registrations made through Eventbrite for the 2026 FOOD DAY FESTIVAL (the “Event”) produced by Simply Vegan Project DBA SoCal VegFest, Animal Alliance Network DBA Plant Based Treaty LA, and their affiliates (collectively, “Event Management”).
By registering for a free Eventbrite ticket, accepting transfer of a ticket, presenting a ticket (digital or printed) at check‑in, or attending the Event, you (the “Bearer”) acknowledge that you have been provided with a link to these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
1. Free registration; check‑in and redemption
- The Event is free to attend. Eventbrite tickets are used solely for:
- Free registration and capacity management;
- Check‑in at the Event; and
- Redemption of free samples, coupons, and/or special gifts (collectively, “Benefits”), as determined by Event Management in its sole discretion.
- Possession of a ticket does not guarantee the availability of any particular Benefit. Benefits are limited, may vary, and are subject to change or substitution at any time without notice.
- Each ticket may be redeemed only once at check‑in. Duplicate, altered, or otherwise suspicious tickets may be rejected at the discretion of Event Management.
- Tickets have no cash value, are not for resale, and may not be exchanged for money or other consideration.
2. License to attend; conduct
- A ticket grants the Bearer a revocable, limited license to enter designated Event areas at a local public park during posted Event hours. Event Management may revoke this license and deny or revoke access to any person at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms and Conditions or Event rules.
- This is a family‑friendly, drug‑free Event. Event Management reserves the right to remove any person whose behavior is, in its sole judgment, unsafe, disruptive, harassing, intoxicated, or otherwise inconsistent with a safe, inclusive environment.
- You and your belongings may be subject to visual inspection or screening at Event areas (e.g., gift/sample redemption stations, activity zones). If you refuse inspection where required, you may be denied access to those areas.
3. Agency; tickets obtained for others
If you register on Eventbrite for other attendees, you represent that you are authorized to act as their agent for purposes of registration and that you have informed them that: (a) their attendance and/or redemption of Benefits is subject to these Terms and Conditions; and (b) the Terms and Conditions are accessible through the link provided on their ticket. By accepting transfer of a ticket or using it to attend or redeem Benefits, each Bearer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
4. Assumption of risk; waiver and release of liability
- The Event takes place outdoors in a public park and may include, without limitation, walking on uneven surfaces, exposure to weather, crowds, amplified sound, and participation in optional activities, demonstrations, or sampling of food or products (collectively, “Event Activities”).
- By attending the Event and/or participating in any Event Activities, you represent that you are voluntarily doing so, are physically able to participate, and have not been advised otherwise by a medical professional.
- To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you understand and agree that:
- You assume all risks, known and unknown, arising out of or related to your attendance at the Event and participation in any Event Activities, including but not limited to personal injury, illness (including communicable diseases), property damage, or loss.
- You hereby release and forever discharge Simply Vegan Project, Animal Alliance Network DBA Plant Based Treaty LA, Event Management, and their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, vendors, sponsors, and agents (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action you may have arising out of or in any way related to the Event or Event Activities, including claims arising out of the ordinary negligence of any Released Party.
- This waiver does not apply to, and does not release claims based on, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot be released under applicable California law.
- This assumption of risk and release applies to any period during which you are traveling to or from the Event, present at the Event location, or participating in Event Activities.
5. Food, samples, and allergies
- Food and beverage vendors may be present, and free or promotional samples may be offered. You are solely responsible for reviewing ingredient and allergen information and making your own decisions about what to consume.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not responsible for, and you agree not to assert any claim against them arising out of, any food‑borne illness, allergic reaction, or other injury related to food or beverage you choose to consume at or in connection with the Event.
6. Communicable diseases; health rules
- By attending the Event, you acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases (including COVID‑19 and similar illnesses) in public settings.
- You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that you will comply with any health‑related rules or guidance communicated by Event Management or public health authorities during the Event.
7. Photography, video, and media
- You understand that attendees and Event Management may take photographs, video, or audio recordings at the Event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, and/or voice in any photographs or recordings made by or on behalf of Event Management for non‑exclusive promotional, educational, and archival purposes, without compensation.
- Personal, non‑commercial photography and social media posting by attendees is generally permitted so long as it does not interfere with others’ enjoyment or Event operations. Any commercial use of images or recordings from the Event requires prior written permission from Event Management.
- The use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles in connection with the Event is prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by Event Management and compliant with applicable law.
8. Minors
- The Event is family‑friendly. Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising minors in their care at all times.
- By bringing a minor to the Event, you represent that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian (or are authorized by such person) and that you agree to these Terms and Conditions on the minor’s behalf, including the assumption of risk and waiver and release provisions to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Compliance with park and facility rules
The Event takes place in a public park. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as any posted or communicated rules of the park, city, or other governing authority (including rules regarding alcohol, smoking, controlled substances, and prohibited items).
10. Miscellaneous; governing law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any claim or dispute arising out of or related to the Event or these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- Event Management may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version linked from your Eventbrite ticket at the time you attend the Event will apply.
