Rowdy Keelor

Over the past decade, Rowdy has built a dynamic career in the nonprofit sector, demonstrating his passion and commitment through a wide array of impactful roles. He co-founded a cigarette recycling nonprofit in Asheville, NC, played a pivotal role in community outreach for one of the Southeast's largest no-kill animal shelters, and led critical efforts with Dogwood Alliance to safeguard Southern forests. In the last two and a half years, Rowdy has educated over 10,000 students in San Diego County on the environmental and ethical implications of animal agriculture through nearly 400 lessons. Currently, he oversees educational outreach for New Roots Institute, where he continues to drive transformative programming.
